    Hi,
I changed my domain recently. When I share the newer posts on social media the thumbnail image is displaying but when I shared an older post its thumbnail image was not showing there. Upon viewing the post’s view-source page I noticed that the og:image meta tag has not updated the image URL in the content attribute. It still has the old domain for which the image is not working.
My question is what can I do to auto-update the URLs for the older posts?
Can you please guide me here? Thank you.

    Hello Haris,

    Thanks for reaching out.

We can also confirm that the og:image URL is on another domain name.

    Please try the following steps:
    1. Install and activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin found here.
    2. Go to Tools → Yoast Test
    3. Click the Reset Indexables tables & migrations button.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools and click the SEO data optimization
    5. After the optimization, check if the issue persists

Do let us know how it turns out.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
I followed all the steps you listed above and it updated the URLs in the meta tag. Thanks for that.
Images are now showing for the older posts as well when shared on all the social media platforms except for Twitter. Can you please help me in fixing that too?https://prnt.sc/19gamw2
    Thank you.

    Hello Haris,

    Thanks for the feedback.

Regarding sharing on Twitter, we see that the Yoast SEO plugin is outputting the correct meta tags needed. See image.

We tested your URL in the Twitter Card Validator and there is a warning:

WARN: this card is redirected to https://vantagefoxes.com/2020/12/07/what-relieves-anxiety/3930/

See image. Your website is on HTTPS but the image is on HTTP. Can you please speak with your web hosting provider on how to resolve this?
