    Hi!

I’m having a problem with a new post not showing the correct image in the og:image and not showing the twitter:image at all.

This is the post: https://randomtrip.es/guia-algarve/ (it’s very long and has loads of pictures, if that may have an impact with the issue)

The post has this image set as featured image: https://randomtrip.es/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/x-portada-sete-vales-suspensos-carvalho-praia.jpg

But the og:image is linking to the logo (the default image I’ve setup)

I’ve tried configuring the image directly in the Social tab in Yoast (inside the post), but nothing changed.

Checking directly on the database, I can see that there are weird things in the wp_yoast_indexable table:

    • The post appears as “draft” in the post_status field
    • All the twitter and open graph tags are empty
    • I’ve tried republishing the post several times, and everything remains the same, but the field updated_at shows the correct timestamp

Any clues of what might be happening?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @christianoliveira87,

If your WordPress version is up-to-date and is using the latest version of Yoast SEO , please try the following steps to reindex the SEO data on your site:

    1. Install and activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
    3. Click the “Reset indexables and migrations” button
    4. Go to SEO -> Tools and under “Optimize SEO Data” click the “Start SEO data optimization” button.

For sites with more than 10,000 posts, we’d advise using the WP CLI command to do the indexation on the server instead of going to SEO > Tools. You can read more about this here: WP CLI – Reindex Indexables command

    Does the error still appear?`

@priscillamc done, it worked perfectly, thanks so much again!

Any clues on why this may had happened? I’m having some other problems with that post because of Jetpack Tiled Galleries, first time using them+Gutenberg (I wrote them also here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/tiled-galleries-gutenberg-slow-editor/ ), could that be related?

@christianoliveira87 Thanks for your reply and for confirming that it resoled the issue.

As for the issue you linked to regarding the Jetpack Tiled Galleries issue, I read over what you posted there and don’t initially see anything in the issue that I would suspect to be related.

Is the site particularly large, such as over 10,000 posts?

    (@christianoliveira87)

@devnihil not at all, just below 200 posts total.

The thing with the galleries is that appart from the editor working extremely slow, when I publish / save the post it sometimes generated problems with the server, so maybe the process in charge of updating that yoast table wasn’t property executed?

@christianoliveira87 The only way I could think that might cause a problem is if the gallery performance caused a database resource issue that resulted in errors or possibly crashed tables, which in turn caused the Yoast SEO plugin’s values to become incorrect or out of sync. Whereas it’s possible that was the cause of this issue, unfortunately we are only able to speculate at this point.
