I’m working with a newly installed site in my multi-site setup and as always I’ve specified a fallback image to specify in the open graph codes that are output to the head items of the site.

However, exceptionally this time the system is not picking up the actual size of the image Ive specified using the functions.php code that has been provided to do this. In the past, it would happily and automatically find the correct image size.

Now, on the other hand, it seems to no longer be picking up the info and so the og:image:height value is set to 512 – which I see in the plugin code seems to be the default.

Any idea what’s going on with this? I suppose the easiest fix would just be to specify the output for those tags in functions.php along with the image selection logic that’s already there – but I don’t know what I would add to the code to do this.

Sorry I didn’t return here for a while. I decided to use Yoast instead – I could never get the Jetpack Open Graph information to work correctly. Any anyhow with no interface for the information, it was pretty much guesswork for anything to do with open graph implementation using Jetpack. This is an important shortcoming of Jetpack.
