    Hi,

I’ve just updated to a new WP theme building my site brick by brick using Rocket Gantry. My site is Drinking Cup and recent posts when pasted into Facebook no longer identify the meta data. When run through the FB Object Debugger state that

“The ‘og:type’ property is required, but not present”.

When I try to fetch new scrape information, I get a timeout message and

“Object [at URL] of type ‘website’ is invalid because a required property ‘og:title’ of type ‘string’ was not provided”

    .

Any help would be much appreciate.

    Cheers – DC

Well to begin… you have two sets on OG: tags … none of which are from this plugin mind you. But you have WPSEO and NextGen putting og: tags in. I’d suggest removing the Nextgen stuff and using the social settings from yoast’s WPSEO.
On top of that neither of them are fully set up from what it seems so make sure to go through the settings and fill it all out then try the debugger again.

Hi Chuck, Thanks for the help.

I have your plugin installed but I deactivated it in case it was clashing with Y-WPSEO. I followed your advice and removed NextGen and checked my setup for Y-WPSEO, all looks ok to me.

    What am I missing?

Hey Chuck, ignore the last post it’s all working fine again now. It must have been a combination of the NextGen and an incorrect Facebook account ID number in my Y-WPSEO setup.

    Really appreciate your help mate.

    DC.
