Oh Bother… issue

Hi there
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I’ve searched and can’t find!
I really want to change the Oh Bother message to “please join” or something but for some reason it’s not working. I’ve tried ticking the button above so that nothing is displayed and that works perfectly, but whenever I tick the box beneath and put in my alternative text and save it, when I got to the forum it still shows the Oh Bother message.
