WordPress was such a solid CMS for agencies like us to build enterprise level website / custom themes.

With the Gutenberg project WordPress becomes a no-code page builder – we have many and much better solutions for this out there already.

The developer experience got so much worse. I really hope for the best, but probably there is a reason why the “classic editor” plugin (which disables Gutenberg) is the most downloaded plugin in the directory.

With the block editor, the idea is to also allow folks that don’t have much experience with code to also be able to use WordPress for their blogs and site without seeking developers. However, it does seem like there is much that needs to be done for the editor to be user-friendly, is there anything you think might help the developers achieve this?

Additionally, as a developer is there anything you think might help improve your experience with the block editor?
