Use the plugin “better search and replace”. Search for https://website.com and replace with https://website.com

Having www and non-www running with no redirect causes Google to believe the site is two different ones (duplicate content) – which hurts your Google ranking.

You can make it https:// by adding the following to your .htaccess

RewriteEngine on

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%1/$1 [R=301,L]

RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !on
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]

This will redirect

https://example.com
https://www.example.com
https://www.example.com

to

https://example.com

You can make it https://www. by adding the following to your .htaccess

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !on [OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
RewriteRule (.*) https://www.example.com%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]

This will redirect

https://example.com
https://www.example.com

to

https://www.example.com
