Ok to Upgrade? Need advice.

    I have version 5.3.5 installed. I have hesitated to upgrade to 6.X because of the “warning” on my plugin page: “This is a major release and includes changes and new features that might need your attention.” I went to the provided link to read more, but don’t understand what features might need my attention. I have never paid attention to this plugin since I installed it three years ago, it just quietly runs and does its thing. What do I need to know about updating to 6.X?

    After upgrading to 6.1 you will get some new hardening features you can choose to enable. This is not required, you can also choose not to activate any of the new features, and everything will keep running as before.

    As the settings page is re-written, the minimal required php version and WordPress version have been updated to 7.2 and 5.7, and the hardening features are all new, we’ve chosen to make users aware of these big changes before the upgrade, to prevent surprises.

    If your php and wp version meet the new requirements you should be good to go.
