• Okay so I got a little lost so I reset my site using wp reset. Here is my issue now. I just want it completely blank. Found out about pattern blocks so going to use those now instead of a theme. Problem is the themes will not let me erase all them and just start fresh. Twenty four is stuck on.

    Second question….how do I get the title to quit appearing…i do not want a title on every page. Unless I put it there. Is it just me or did the days of actually making something on a webpage disappear. I just want a blank page. Not themes, no titles, just me and some room to work. If you can help thank you.

    No, that’s not a replacement for themes. You need a theme to use WordPress.

    And your site is as blank as it can be, as far as WordPress is concerned.

    The items you see on your homepage are from your active theme, which is “The Kingdom of Judah” and widgets/blocks you’ve added yourself. As you’re using a custom theme, we really can’t tell you where to go to do what… as we don’t how your theme works.

    I can also see you’ve designated one of your WordPress PAGEs to be used as your site’s homepage. Is this what you mean when you say “Twenty four is stuck on”? You can find this setting and change the page (or switch to listing the latest posts) at SETTINGS => READING => “Your Homepage displays”.

    thank you for taking time to help me. My question at the end of my day is how do i get THE KINGDOM OF JUDAH OFF THE PAGE< INDEX< AND INDEX. ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED!

    I don’t see the texts you mentioned on your site — so it seems you’ve taken care of this already.

    If you still have an issue, feel free to let me know.

    NB: To reiterate what I said earlier, these elements you mentioned were all coming from your custom theme you’ve built yourself. The “INDEX” that was at the very top seemed to be a navigation menu in your theme, and the second “INDEX” seemed to be your homepage title.

    So you are telling me there is no way to remove this text through the .css or .php file? Or somewhere inside the file itself. Seems like it would totally be possible.

    I don’t think anyone’s telling you that.

    I’m confident that George would not tell you something like this is not possible. You can certainly hide elements with CSS. For example, to remove the H1 page title you could use this CSS:

    .entry-content h1 {
        display: none;
    }

    This will hide the H1 title of every page on your site. But you said you don’t want it to appear unless you put it there. If you put it there using H2, that would be fine, but if you put it there using H1 it will also be hidden. More sophisticated management of visibility is possible but there are too many variables involved to give you a simple “one size fits all” solution.

    Be aware that H1 titles are important factors in SEO. If you hide them it could have a negative effect on SEO. Emphasis on “could”. The H1 title still exists in HTML so it’s possible search bots will read it anyway even though it’s hidden with CSS.
