love the plugin’s compatibility and easy customisation – thank you.

i’m finding that old shows do not drop off the feed though, and that the plugin is displaying shows from furthest away to nearest in time, whereas convention is almost exclusively to do the opposite (soonest show first).

the “more shows” link at the bottom simply refreshes the page so i have had to remove it (display:none;) and ask the plugin to show more entries than would even be active at any one time to ensure all shows are visible.

are these settings i should have found somewhere?

    Hey,
Can you show me how you’re using the shortcode? I can’t think of any reason it should display the shows in reverse order unless its something with the feed. Are you using the future shows feed?

Ideally, you’d use the “XML Feed URL for Future Shows” under the Direct Links section. The other one (closer to the top) has issues. Not sure if that fixes your issue or not.

If you could email me your feed URL, I’ll test it on my end too. chris at slushman dot com.

hey – thanks for getting back to me.

i’m using (as directed in the FAQ and installation pages) the code [artistdatapress]. i can’t find any instructions as to any other shortcode options? this is simply being displayed in the main content editor for the page.

the XML feed URL is https://feeds.artistdata.com/xml.shows/org/MO-C4BBDC7A1BC8CC1D/xml

it may be that i can generate a different feed with another URL? this is a client’s account so i will have to get back in and look again. we are displaying shows for several bands in a single account here, i don’t know if that would make a difference?

    thanks chris.

    Hello,

I seem to be having the same problem with past live shows not dropping off the list when I use the shortcode [artistdatapress] on a page. However, in my case itdoes show the soonest dates on top, so that’s good.

    Here’s my sample page: https://monalisa-twins.com/wordpress/live-shows

As you can see on that page I would like to have the upcoming shows in one tab, and the past shows in the other tab. But how do I go about it since I can only specify one data feed link in the plug-in settings.

Or are there other shortcodes I could use, eg. [artistdatapressfuture] and [artistdatapresspast] or is there a code snippet into which I could integrate the single data feed links?

Also on the past shows’ feed I would like to show the most recent shows on top.

Thanks very much for any advice on that,
    Michaela

    Hey all,
Yes, you can use multiple shortcodes with each having their own URL. Use the feedurl shortcode attribute for specifying a different feed than the one in the plugin settings. You can also limit how many shows for a shortcode as well. It’s all spelled out in the FAQs. ??

Flatpack: the URL you want has sonicbids in it, not the one that just has artistdata in it. When AD was purchased by Sonicbids a few years back, Sonicbids added their own URLs and they work better with this plugin due to redirects with the AD-only URLs.
