Old Email Addy Attached to Login and Don't Remember Password

    It’s been quite awhile since I’ve logged into my WP admin account and I have forgotten my password. I requested that a new one be sent to me, but later figured out my account is linked to an email address that is no longer valid so I have no way of retrieving the new password. How do I get around this so that I can access my blog and get active again? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

    Resetting Your Password

    Your admin email address is stored in your MySQL database…If you have access to the DB (the DB UN and PW are kept in your wp-config.php file), use your hosting cPanel or phpMyAdmin etc, to access the DB and change the email address. (Ask your host if you are not sure how to do this)

    Then you can use the Password reset/lost tool at yoursite dot com/wp-admin/ an get the new password emailed to you…

    Once that is done nav to the admin user, change it to a strong one, and keep it safe.
