I doubt you’ll get satisfactory performance from any but the oldest versions, and even then, different functions probably just won’t work at all. What you can do is set up a localhost on your own machine if you’re just looking to try it out. Use something like Local by Flywheel to set it up on your home computer for free. That will give you the latest PHP and WP versions to work with, so you can install Elementor on it to test it out. But for long-term live use, you’ll need an upgraded server. You can get a really cheap plan for one month (the $3 kind) from any of the big shared hosting companies to test it out on a live site. (Not that I recommend using the cheap hosting forever, but just for testing purposes, it’s a quick and cheap way to test it). Either way, using localhost method like Local by Flywheel or using a super cheap hosting company for a month, you can test Elementor using the proper system requirements.
