    My web site at https://www.jacquette.com has been running fine since June 2015. We regularly post new blog posts without a problem, but recently one of my staff noticed that most of our older posts (pre-September of this 2015) are no longer showing up in the blog. We’re running a pretty vanilla Divi theme.

    An example post that shows as published and public but doesn’t show up in the blog list is https://www.jacquette.com/the-transparent-society/

    An example post that is working just fine is https://www.jacquette.com/easy-eyes-create-dyslexia-friendly-web-experience/

    I’m honestly not sure when the issue first appeared, so it’s a bit tricky to chase down the cause. While there are many support articles on posts not showing up I haven’t found one that matches my situation, so any assistance you can give me is greatly appreciated.

    We host our own site and I am a software developer and skilled admin so I can dig into the code or database as needed, I’m just hoping to skip the laborious tasks of working through all of the WordPress code to find exactly what’s happening.

    Oh, important note: some of those older posts date back to a previous WordPress site, but we copied and pasted over to the new (June 2015) site by hand. At one point they did appear correctly on the new site.

    did you fix it?

    – Try flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as browser and/or server caches (memcached or APC or xcache, etc.).
    – To clear cache in your browser, press clrl+f5 keys simultaneously. Also, try different computer/different browser.
    – Ask you hosting provider if they are using something to cache your site’s output (like Varnish, etc.; some cut-rate shared hosting account may do that).

    Tara, thanks for the assistance. I know you can see it through the direct link. Can you see it listed on https://www.jacquette.com/blog/ ? I cannot on any of the three machines and browsers I’ve used. *That’s* the problem.

    There are no server caching mechanisms in place. As I said in the original post, we’re hosting it ourselves on our own servers.

    what code or plugin are you using to show those posts on that page?

    have you contacted the developer of your theme with your question?

    We’re just using the default Divi theme, but in your question you led me to the answer – it looks like our blog page was set up with a finite number of slots long ago, and we’ve hit the limit. Thanks.
