• I have a few sites with the Stream plugin installed. I just noticed that none of them are removing old records. I have the “Keep Records for” setting set to 30, but with records going back more than a year. They aren’t being removed. Any idea why that would happen and how to resolve it?

  • I am experiencing this as well… It’s caused a lot of bloat on our sites.

Same here. I have 3 years worth of activity despite the settings are to keep only last 30 days.

Yes, we have over 70 sites now with data for the past 2 years, manually going in and resetting them, but this is a huge pain

Is anyone working towards fixing this issue? A simple confirmation from the devs would suffice.

Thank you everyone for reporting the issue! I’ve opened an issue on GitHub in case anyone has the capacity to fix this. Unfortunately, there is no active development team working on the plugin at the moment.

Thanks, @kasparsd! I didn’t know there was an open repo for Stream. I might have a go at it in a few weeks.

Thank you for all your feedback, everyone. I am currently working on this task in Github, but wanted to pop in here for a question.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this may be related to WordPress Cron. Can any of you experiencing this issue respond to the following:

    1. Are you using default WordPress Cron?
    2. Was someone visiting (daily) the WordPress admin for the sites in question (back when those records were created).
    3. Is there any native cron which triggers WordPress Cron (in the event that no person visits the admin)?

Thanks in advance for your help in debugging this issue.

Thanks for taking on that issue, @kopepasah!

    1. I’m using the default on a few sites and running wp-cron.php from a crontab task on a few other sites. None of them are removing old records.
    2. Yes, most of the sites have a lot of daily traffic.
    3. See #1.

Thanks for the quick reply, @cullylarson! Sounds like it might not be related to WP Cron afterall. Will continue investigation.

    Thanks again! ?????♂?
