• Hi all,

I don’t know if this is the correct place to post this but here we go, I hope someone can shed some light on the solution… I recently built a WordPress site for someone else on my own server, in a sub directory where I set up a new mysql database. The site has since been moved to it’s own server and I have set up all of the SEO options using the All in One SEO plugin for WordPress.

My issue is that the new site is still showing up in the sub directory of my own website as the first hit on google. I have deleted all the files from my own server as well as the database that it was built in and have submitted updated sitemaps through Google Webmaster tools for both my site as well as the new one.

Any idea how I can stop my personal website from appearing when people search for content that is no longer stored on my server and hasn’t been for some time?

Any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Jonathan

Thanks John, I actually came across that just after I posted on the forum. Unfortunately it seems that one specific google search for words related to the site that I built but that have nothing at all to do with my personal site, nor are words that appear anywhere on my site, still yields a fairly high hit for a portfolio page on my site. I’ve removed a bunch of URLs through the link you provided, lets hope that helps!

    Thanks again!
