Old WordPress core file not removed during update

    Yesterday I updated my website to WP 6.6.
    Today I received a Wordfence security alert that several Old WordPress core files were not removed during update.

    Given the large number of posts online, It looks like this is a global issue with this recent update.

    What’s your advice what to do with these files?
    Are you going to release a patch update to remove them?
