I am using the latest version of the plugin (1.10.5). I have gone into Settings > Log Rotation > Enabled Cleanup By Time > set 183 days > saved.

But mail older than 183 days is not being deleted. I deactivated and reactivated the plugin as I saw someone do this on a different thread but this has not helped.

Please can you advise how to get this mail to auto delete? I have 32,000 emails and don’t want to have to manually clear them.

    Hi @user9876789

Thanks for reaching out and we’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with the Log Rotation feature.

Just to confirm, have you already tried adjusting the number of days? Also are you okay with attempting a test using the “Cleanup by Amount” feature (which caps out at 3000 logs).

In case there is a plugin conflict, please try disabling your other plugins then attempt the cleanup by time feature once more.

    I hope this helps ??

Hello, yes I have tried adjusting the number of days to 183. Clean up by Time in enabled and I put the number of days in, do I need to do anything else to trigger it to run the cleanup?

I am testing this on a test site which is behind HTTP auth – can this affect it?

I’d rather try get it to work with number of days before doing it by Cleanup by Amount as on the live site it needs to be by days.

    Hi @user9876789

Thanks for getting back to us.

Just to confirm did you try the troubleshooting step I mentioned about deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default WordPress theme?

Also, I mentioned testing “Cleanup by amount” to confirm that both features were not working on your test website.

I have shared this situation with our team and will get back to you once we have more potential suggestions.

    Hi @user9876789

In addition to my previous reply, we’d like to point out that our cleanup features use cron jobs to work properly. Are you maybe blocking WPCron or are cron jobs disabled on your server?

To reference your last reply, WP Cron may be affected by HTTP auth.

As a test, you can try installing the WP Crontrol plugin:?https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-crontrol/.

Then in your Dashboard -> Tools -> Cron Events, you should be able to see the?wpml_log_rotation?cron event.

Hello, I tried this on the live site and it deleted the mail as expected. The issue was the dev site being behind http auth which stopped the cron. Thanks for your assistance.
