• We have been using this plugin for years as a paying client (Core+). Up until the last year this plugin was meeting our needs, albeit at what I consider is far from an reasonable price. Conveniently what one would expect to be a core feature, like front end submissions, is actually not included. You have to purchase it separately for $59usd/yr on top of the $220/yr for the Core+ bundle.

In addition, they decided this year to remove extended views which had been included and forced long-term clients like ourselves to pay an additional $98usd/yr to keep this feature. There is no way all this aggravation is remotely worth $377usd per year to have a somewhat functional Community Events Calendar Time.ly!!!

They have continually tried to “convert” us over to their own hosted platform as well as expected us to share all our hard work entering events with them. The icing on the cake… even as a paying client, their servers constantly deactivate plugins we paid for on a weekly basis crippling our workflows until an admin can get around to re-enabling them. When we contact support, they hide behind the statement that there must be something wrong on our end, constantly recommending that we remove and reinstall the plugins. Like I’m stupid!!!

Unfortunately there is no way to give them a zero rating otherwise I would! AND… they refuse to refund a recent transaction renewing us for another year after I already stated that we were going with another plugin!

***NO CLIENT LOYALTY AND POOR SUPPORT***

  • Bruce, did you find a good alternative with front end submission support?

Time.ly just did the same thing to us, the WP plugin that we are under support no longer works correctly and they refuse to fix the issue, they ‘upgraded’ us to the Journey version which does not work the same way. So frustrating!

We found an awesome alternative that we’ve been quite impressed with. Very reasonable price tag with more features included and available than we ever expected. Check out Modern Events Calendar! Best wishes ??
