On home page only: "Notice: Undefined index: contact-form-7 …"

  • Updating my Contact Form 7 plugin created several problems with my forms, but they’re all fixed now except this: I see an error above the header (and below the footer) that reads:

    Notice: Undefined index: contact-form-7 in /home/[domain]/public_html/wp-includes/class.wp-scripts.php on line 250

    Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/kilowa5/public_html/wp-includes/class.wp-scripts.php on line 250

    I’m not a coder, and am not even finding where to access the wp-config or functions.php or any of those other things I’m reading about. I’m only seeing a limited left menu when I log into my wordpress admin.

    Where do I go from here and how do I get rid of that message above my header?

    Since you are using Contact Form 7 I would suggest that you contact them in there support forum. They will have a much better understanding of what the issue is and how to fix it. You can do so https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/contact-form-7#postform

    Are you by any chance using Chrome? There is a Chrome error going around that is messing up peoples admin sidebars. You can check it out on the ticket. https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/33199

    I’m still experiencing this problem and haven’t received any word back from the Contact-Form-7 developer other than “switch themes.” That’s not so easy, as this is a custom them that was designed for this company some 4-5 years ago.

    Might anyone know how to address this error? Go to https://www.kilowattfinancial.com/ and you’ll see it in the header.

    Help needed! This is their live corporate site.
