    Hi,

Within the Klarna onsite messaging app there is functionality to Refresh Optional:

“In case the user changes the purchase amount for example by selecting a different size, you will need to refresh the placement. The refresh placement function should be triggered in the code after a change.”

Is this functionality incorporated into this plugin? – for example, if I add multiple products to the basket and then remove one, the price showing on the on-site messaging is not being recalculated.

I do use SG Optimiser but have excluded pages such as basket and checkout from caching and cleared the cache.

    Additional Information:

I’ve been testing this throughout the day and the same behaviour applies on a desktop browser such as chrome (have also tested multiple desktops / laptops) and the same applies.

However, if using a mobile browser, we are finding that the on-site messaging is recalculating dynamically if the product totals are adjusted by increasing quantity or removing an item from the basket.

Why would this not be working on Desktop? (as I mentioned, caching plugins disabled on basket and checkout pages)

    Hello @mthelp,

Which version of OSM are you running? It works on both desktop and mobile in the most recent version (1.5.x) when we test it on our testing environment. If you’re running an older version, please update and try again.

If you’re still experiencing issues, purge the cache in the SG Optimizer, and then deactivate the optimizer plugin on WordPress and settings on your SiteGround account. Check if it works in an incognito/private window.

    Hey,

    Thanks for your reply.

We’re on 1.5.1 – oddly, it is now working after hitting purge cache on SG Optimizer.

Although I had already purged it yesterday after adding /basket to the SG excluded pages for caching and tried a few different desktop browsers and was getting the same every time.

I will test it over the next few days to confirm everything is now ok, and if it is I’ll mark this as resolved.

    Thanks again

    Hi,

It seems that you found the way to solve this so I set this resolved. Let us know otherwise.
