    I’m a Product Manager at WP Engine for GeoIP. I’m sad to see you gave us a 1 star review. Our customers have come to love our GeoIP functionality which works very well on our platform.

    I’m sorry to hear this is the functionality you need, but can’t use on your host. To get the awesome cacheable server-side geo-ip features this plugin can only work on the WP Engine platform. We tried to make it explicitly clear in the plugin description that this can only be used with WP Engine accounts.

    Our Geo IP plugin is in WordPress plugin repo to make it easy for our customers to download and install this functionality on their sites. Unfortunately the plugin repo does not have a great way for us to categorize or label the plugin as such. If you think there is a better way for us to make that more explicitly clear, I’m happy to hear that feedback.

    We do not have plans to bring this functionality to other hosting providers. However if you decide to signup for WP Engine, you can use the discount code ‘SPEEDUP’ at checkout for 20% off your first payment (monthly or annual plans).
