on_ok_sent Alternative

On their Redirecting to Another URL After Submissions page, they have this note at the bottom of their page: “Note: The method using on_sent_ok hook is no longer recommended. This function is scheduled to be abolished by the end of 2017.”
What would you guys recommend as an alternative to using on_ok_sent for conversion tracking?
