onClick event in button?

Hey – great plugin. Thanks for making my pages look great!

Trying to add an onclick event to a contact us button. Code would look like this:

<a href="#" onclick="LC_API.open_chat_window();return false;">

I thought adding it into the pages wordpress code through the text editor would work but when return to elementor, it gets stripped out. Any chance you can help me out?
