One archive system by category

Hello,

It is perhaps very easy but I’m lost (I have searched in forum ! Don’t be angry but can we have a better search robot ?). I just start to know how to makes templates.

I have 2 categories. I want them to make 2 blogs separated on 2 Pages separated. It’s done. I use 2 templates with the loop and <?php query_posts('cat=1'); ?> or <?php query_posts('cat=2'); ?> before the loop.

But when I want to have separated archives, it doesn’t work. I use <?php wp_get_archives('type=monthly'); ?> to make archives appear and impossible to know how to limite this to only one category.

I have made 2 pages linked to 2 archives templates.

May someone help me ??
