one blog, multiple domain names to blog categories

I have one wordpress blog/one database and I’d like to link some of my categories to their own domain names (back from the days when I had multiple blogs). I’m using Godaddy to host the blog. I’m thinking that I might be able to create a sub-folder off the root, attach a domain name to that folder and then use a htaccess redirect to the wordpress category. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
