    I have been using the free version of UpdraftPlus on 3 website for a number of years and never had any problems, it has been the perfect tool for me supporting charity websites. Recently we moved to a new host one.com for to save money. As soon as tI migrated the website, I received the message below.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for letting us know about this.

    Having looked at the site it appears they promote their own competing services.
    On the same website page, ‘you can use our add-on product Backup & Restore’.

    One.com has not contacted us regarding any of the concerns they highlighted.
    Most of the concerns appear to relate to limitations of the hosting service itself.

    ‘High server load, Performance issues, Compatibility issues’ are some examples.
    If they’re providing low specification servers, any plugin may cause them issues.

    They ‘discourage’ rather than prohibit certain plugins, you can use UpdraftPlus.
    Whether using UpdraftPlus will expose any server limitations is another question.

    I hope this does not turn out to be the case.
