One Host, Main Website, Multiple Domains

    I use Surpasshosting for my hosting. I am hosting roughly 16-17 domains there, some for friends, family and clients.

    Each domain AFTER the first has it’s own folder, whereas my main domain has the public-html root.

    My question is this…
    If each domain hosts a completely unrelated website, could I create ONE database and give each domain a separate prefix and share that ONE database?

  • Yes, give each install a different database table prefix in each wp-config.php file for each site. That is for single installs of WP; multisite will make all its own database tables by itself in one database
