I have a large product that ships in 2 boxes. How can I properly set that up in Woocommerce such that the FedEx shipping module will give the proper pricing for 2 packages?

You’d need to set it up so the product would read as two products. One way to do this would be through Chained Products – you would enter dimensions for each item that goes in a specific box, or Composite Products/Product Bundles could achieve the same effect.

In short, you’d want to split it into two, have one of them invisible, but add both parts to the cart during checkout. Composite is likely the best way.

    Hi Danny,
Thanks for the reply. If I make one of the products invisible (would that be under product Visibility, or Catalog Visibility?), I understand that it won’t show up in the catalog. But once the chained/composite/bundled product is put in the cart, will both products show up? The reason I ask is that our orders are uploaded to our fulfillment center and they are expecting just one SKU. If we’re uploading two SKUs in an order for a single product it would create some confusion on their end.
    Thanks!

I know this is coming a little late, but if you’re shipping a single product with one sku in multiple boxes, you could try Multi-Box Products
