One more time: VAT not syncing

    Dear plugin developers,

    I just abandoned pixel coffeine since they are not supporting the plugin anymore (I used it before to sync my woocommerce shop with instagram). However, unfortunately, the VAT is not transferred with the other information, and instagram now has the products without VAT. I tried all mentioned here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fb-shop-prices-sync-without-vat/, I deactivated all the other plugins for testing, but I have no idea at all how I can sync the VAT, and that’s even more suprising since it worked just fine with another plugin that does pretty much the same until a few hours ago.

    Log also doesnt show any errors. Any chance you can guide me through what to do? PHP Limit, Transients, manual sync, VAT settings – all already tried. As far as I can see from the other topics already created, this is also a more frequent issue.

  • Hello there!

    First, could you please send me a copy of your site’s system status report? You can find it under WooCommerce > Status in the dashboard. Click “Get system report” and then the “Copy for support” button. Once you’ve done that, paste it into your reply.

    Second, one thing to note is that if the prices entered in WooCommerce do not include the tax, the prices will be reflected without tax in Facebook. The prices in Facebook represent the prices entered at the product level, i.e. Facebook does not calculate the taxes on top of the entered price. To sync taxes to Facebook, you must enter taxes inclusive of price in WooCommerce. Is this what you are doing?

    In other words, are your tax settings configured like this:

    I have the prices set on the first option, I enter price including tax, and not the second one, entering prices without tax.

    Is there any way to sync the prices including tax in this case? In my shop, on the frontend, the price are all shown correctly, with VAT. But i enter the prices without, and then they are calculated. Is there any chance to still sync the right ones to facebook or would I need to re-calculate all prices and re-enter them manually?

    If I understand correctly, you have selected the option to enter prices with tax included.

    I’m not quite sure what you refer to when you say you enter the prices without and then these are calculated.

    A screenshot of your current tax settings, a product example and how it looks on your Facebook page will help.

    Hi @tspinde

    Probably the easiest way to overcome the issue of whether prices on Facebook appear with or without VAT is to set a Facebook price in the product Facebook tab

    This is a little more work, but it ensures that the price reflected on Facebook will be the price you want to display.

    Hi,

    nice, thank you for the workaround. There are too many products to do it manualy, but I can just fill it automatically. Still, I think it is a little bit strange/sad: The product price on the very same page (edit product page, where you made the screenshot) is correct, but shown wrong in facebook. Products costs 32,95 in the shop, it says 32,95 on the product editing page, pixel coffein which I used before showed 32,95, and suddenly the VAT is subtracted magically :o.

    On single products it works only with a “.” as noted in the plugin, but on variable products “,” between the numbers works as well :). Just a note for anyone reading here.

    Hi @tspinde. Do you have logging enabled for the Facebook plugin currently? This would be the “Enable debug mode” checkbox in the “Connection” tab in your Facebook settings, as shown here.

    If not, could you please enable it, try syncing again, and then find the logs at WooCommerce > Status > Logs in your site’s WP Admin area? The log you’re looking for should have “facebook” in the name and the current date. Once you find the log file, select it, and then click “View” to view it.

    Next, please copy the contents of that log file into https://pastebin.com, select “Create new paste,” and then contact us via https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ with a link to that log file and to this forum thread. (The logs can contain potentially sensitive site data, so it’s better to share these with us directly than on a public forum.)

    I cant write you there; my account is confirmed (got an email confirmed message) but I still can’t access the support form even when logging in and out multiple times. Always says: `In order to access this section of your account please verify your email address.

    If you have already confirmed your email address, please log out of WooCommerce.com and then login again. If you still need to confirm your email, we sent you an email to verify your email address when you signed up. You can try searching for an email from WordPress.com to find it.

    But I have done that, I am confirmed, and I do log in and out. Still, nothing changes.
