One More Vote for an Easy Uninstall!

Hi, For the past 6 hours, I have been trying to pick out each little piece of code/reference that was left when I deactivated, “uninstalled”, and manually deleted (through FTP) all of the stuff that was obviously left in WP.
THEN, I looked my my Db searching and deleting things there too as mentioned in other threads. There is still some little bit of code somewhere that is holding up the show. Grr
I am not a novice. I have been a WP user since 2005 and customized my personal themes as well as those for clients since 2006.
As someone said on another thread, I appreciate the work you do but I don’t need anyone to save me from making a stupid mistake (such as not reading instructions or backing up a site.) I and others learn from those things!
Hopefully, I’ll be able to find the last remaining pieces soon but NO one should have to take this much time, download 3 other plugins, or go through this much effort to get rid of a plugin.
To be honest, when I don’t or can’t use a plugin, I never give it a low rating, I just don’t rate it – if you can’t say anything nice…you know the rest. While I am only one person, I thought it only fair and honest to tell you that this “uninstall” issue is the reason I will not recommend this plugin to anyone, newbie or pro.
I’m very glad that many people can and do use your gallery. It obviously fills a community need. I wish you and your customers success. I also hope for a bit of luck for myself in finding the pieces that are hiding.
If anyone knows of other phrases or places I can look, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it and gladly pass the favor on. ??
