One of my favorite WP Tools

I can’t count the number of times this plugin has saved my bacon. Botched imports, migrations to hosts with weird restrictions, emergency backups due to server outages – all made so much easier and quicker with Blogvault.

I’ve been using this plugin for years for host migrations, but what really inspired me to write this today is one particular feature: the ability to choose which database tables to migrate. I had an issue with the post ID auto_increment on one site being enormous (we’re talking 15 figures), and nothing I tried could resolve it. I finally had the idea of migrating the entire site except the wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables, which Blogvault let me do super easily and quickly. Not only did it solve the problem, but it saved me a ton of time.

As a bonus, support is incredible too! These folks love WP and know it inside and out, and they’re always so happen to help.
