one of my posts showed up publiched even when I had it set to draft

Dave has a great idea. Try disabling all your plugins except Postie and see if the bug still exists. You may want to switch your theme to twentytwelve as well.

Ok. even disabling all of my plugins I set the text type to heml and sent a test as a plain text from my mail client and a test html mode in my mail client. the text one as it shoudl have did as a draft how ever the html mode published. Here is a link to a screenshot. of my posts window.

Sorry about the ugly title. lol! I shoudl add that it was using the 2012 theme. I forgot I changed it to that whilst troubleshooting somethign else lol!

With “Preferred Text Type” set to “plain” or “html” both emails were set to “draft” status.

Please turn on debug logging as described earlier. There must be something else going on.

Well, I followed the dorections and my config.php is edited but the debug log I had to create, change the permissions then watch as the bite count stayed at 0. and I sent 4 or 5 test posts to my blog.

I’ll try again later I guess or wait for the process to take effect and update itself.

Never mind I got it. here is the debug log.

I see [post_status] => draft in the log file. Which to me looks like it set the status of that post to draft. Is that correct?

Also, please send me a quick email at [email protected] there is something I need to tell you privately.

It set the email for plain text as draft which it should have, how ever the html one went out as public which it should not have. I can’t remember if the de bug log puts the subject of the posts in there as well but just in case I tried to make it very clear what was what.

Unfortunately there isn’t any way for me to see what happens after Postie is finished.

When you ran this test did you have all other plugins disabled and the twentytwelve theme activated?

No but when it happened before I was using twentytwelv and it still happened. Will repost the debug log once i run this test.

Thisis very strange. I reinstalled wordpress due to some other issue, somethign that broke while I was away at achool and I now can’t get it to reproduce. I am still going to try though as if this ever happens again whilst out inthe field it will be more stress for me to clean up later lol!

Whatever the fix I’m glad it is working now.

I’m still keepign an eye on it just in case it brakes.

I’m also glad it’s working as I can now blog from school when I’m not doing any other stuff. and I can have it go out when ever I please.
