Category selection as part of form

Is there any ETA for this to be implemented?

but since you’re asking… around next month (13th of August) (and then I’m being optimistic and ambitious by postponing it for as long as possible (the sooner the better applies here really).

Some background:
We’re planning to email our customers (30.000+) and asking to leave a review. We expect that quite a lot of them are eager to do this just by the nature of our business and our request (sounds a bit vague, but trust me on this one ;)).

It’s also pretty important for this project that the categories are being linked to each review so it would be very convenient if we can let our customers choose it beforehand out of a list, instead of us having to link it to each individual review afterwards.

May I then have the audicity to suggest one more additional feature to this feature request?

The option to ‘bulk upload’ categories. So in my case I need 300+ categories and it would be nice if I could just upload a csv-file with all the categories in one column.

Or, I’ve seen this before, that I could just copy/paste the list into an input field in the cms itself.

That’s an edge case I’m not willing to support yet. File imports can be tricky and must be able to fail gracefully. I would rather build a one-off file for you to be imported using the WordPress Importer.

Voted for this on wpmission as well. Trying to put all product reviews on one page, but categorized by products.

I am trying hard to get this on the next release which will be in the next week or two. Thanks for everyone’s patience.
