I have a site selling lawn mower blades. They have one blade that is compatible with a range of mowers with different configurations like deck size for example. They sell the blade as a two-pack and three pack. I have custom SKUs for single, variable two-pack, and variable three pack. How do I make it so someone searching for different brands and mower decks that need the same blade part? I’m not sure if I know how to do this; wondering if I have a way to cross-reference a blade SKU with various part numbers. Some large deck sizes will need the three pack only so making it a variable product might not be the best way to go.

For example, A blade listing, AYP 134149 High Lift Mulching Blade for 42″ Deck

    Matches several products, i.e. AYP: 134148, 134148M, 134148X, 139774, 532134148, 532532193957, 917134148MS, 917134148X, 917139774, 917139774MS, 917532134148, 917532139774,

Someone searching for AYP 917134148MS, should find the AYP134149. How do I make that work? Do I add a brand for AYP then child categories for each of the items above, associating to each AYP 134149?

    Hi there @grmiller,

If you list the product compatibility in the blades’ product description or short description, it should allow customers to search for a specific product number. I put the data you provided into a product’s short description and then searched for 532532193957 on my test site. Here’s the resulting screenshot: https://d.pr/i/ot13tN

Additionally, if I have more than 1 product that matches the search query, it a search returns all associated products: https://d.pr/i/fWaY9q

You can find more information about product descriptions and short descriptions at the following link:

    I hope this helps!
