One User Unable to Subscribe

I have one person attempting to subscribe using the JetPack v3.53 Subscription widget and receiving the following error:
There was an error when subscribing. Please try again.
On the same machine using other email addresses works without issue. Different machines and browsers all return the same error for this email address. Is there any way to further troubleshoot this individual email address?
