OneDot – suddenly, “Add New Image” is chopping headers in half!
-
One of the problems with OneDot is that in fact, it has both a header and a slider, which only becomes apparent when you try to use this theme. The slider shows up if you add a featured image to a post, because the same featured image gets thrown onto the slider which then appears, linked directly to that post. (But the slider has a dark overlay that can’t be removed; and the slider doesn’t show up in the customizer at all, so nothing can be done to “customize” it.)
Then there’s the sliding header, I guess that’s the “banner”. That’s a separate issue, and I spent hours uploading and auto-cropping images for this full-width header banner, which rotates the images randomly…. when suddenly, this feature no longer works anymore. I just tried to add a couple of new images, and NOW it wants to CROP the header by about half the width of the original batch of headers — no explaining this anomaly. This even defies the fact that they tell you up top that the standard best image should be 1920 pixels wide! Now, it wants to chop that down by half! So, no more header images can be added due to this surprise error… on top of being unable to locate any means to disable the black overlay.
Anyway, OneDot/BlogBell is one giant PIA.
