Ongoing Import not working

  • Hello Support! We have an Anchor.fm station and have setup your plugin and enabled “ongoing import.”

    The initial import worked, but we added a new podcast 2 days ago and it hasn’t imported. See here: https://anchor.fm/joan-green

    What can I do to get this working?

    Thanks for reaching out!
    First off, looks like you’re trying to import the Anchor.fm page rather than the feed itself – you’ll need to use the RSS feed URL instead –
    https://anchor.fm/s/3ea2ee94/podcast/rss

    Second, if it still doesn’t work, please check with your website hosting provider – they might have disabled/limited the Cron schedules running on the server.

    I am using the RSS feed link. I only posted the podcast link, so that you could see that the latest podcast did not load.

    The webhost is Siteground – have you heard of them disabling or limiting Cron jobs?

    Oh I see.
    Do you perhaps have an existing post/page/episode on your site with the exact same title?
    If you do (even if it’s in the trash or a draft entry) it won’t import the latest episode.

    I think Siteground should be OK, but please check it with them just to be on the safe side. They might also be able to check your debug logs and see if there’s anything there.
