Ongoing invoice numbers for Woocommerce POS – hard to find?

    Hello Community,

    I am right in the middle of changing to a WooCommerce POS and Webshop, and I stuck at solving a problem:

    -my webshop generates invoices with an ongoing number (Germanized): good!
    -the Point of Sale for WooCommerce doesnt set an invoice number, it just shows the order-number. (the order-number is tweaked by “sequential order number”, but this is just for a better orientation.)

    HOW can I get either the same invoice-range of numbers as Germanized uses, or at least an other range of numbers?

    I was looking the whole day about this topic and couldnt find a good hint!

    So is this plugin capable of managing the invoice-numbers for the POS? Or will it try to manage the range of numbers of Webshop-orders too?

    In Austria an ongoing number on the invoices is necessary.

    Thank you for hint, tipps or just pointing to right (maybe this?) plugin!

    Hello @jakobbatek,

    Our plugin handle a separate invoice numbering system instead of the order number.

    In Dashboard > WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Documents > Next invoice number you can set an initial number if you already have a number sequence started. In this section you can also set a prefix, suffix, and a padding for your invoice format.

    Let say you need a number format like this: UE00000-2021 and your next invoice number need to be 123. To set up this format, and match your invoice sequence, you can use these settings:

    So is this plugin capable of managing the invoice-numbers for the POS?
    Or just Webshop-related orders? Or both?

    Hello @jakobbatek,

    If your POS plugin creates WooCommerce orders, then it’s possible. Maybe you’ll might need a code snippet to trigger the creation of the PDF based on the order status if your POS plugin don’t trigger an email. We can help you with that if you purchase a Professional extension license.

    By the way, can you give me the name of the POS plugin you’re referring to?
