Ongoing Login issue for iFeature Pro – "Session Expired"

  • I have an ongoing login issue with iFeature Pro.

    My blog (which is adult, so please understand I am not linking it here) is coming along fine – I have no issues with iFeature Pro, and the help I needed with NextGEN Galleries was resolved through this forum. I can update easily and quickly now and I like the theme.

    I am running WordPress 3.8. My at home computer is an old Mac PowerPC G5, fairly powerful, in good shape and reliable, but no Intel Inside. It is not an issue, I believe, but I include this here all the same.

    I have not minded it before, because I don’t want comments on my site. However, there is an ongoing login issue.

    It does not impede my working on the site and getting into my admin area, but it does not make sense.

    • When I login to the admin area – although I easily get access and can update the site – the site always retains the words “You must be logged in” at the bottom of the site pages. When I
      am

    logged in.

    • A little more troubling – when I go to the Customize iFeature Pro page to modify the widgets, it asks again for a login, though I am already in the admin area. I login with the proper credentials, and the page immediately refreshes with:

      1. The message “You have logged in successfully”, and then

      2. A repeat view of the request for login information and the message “Session expired. Please log in again. You will not move away from this page.”. I cannot gain access to Customize Theme.

    • As mentioned before, the site does not take comments, even though comments are activated. I am sure it is a login issue.

      • Thoughts on login issues? I have discussed with my site administrator – doesn’t seem to be an issue there.

      It is not a plugin conflict. This has been happening since day one. All plugins were tested and many disabled when I had the NextGEN problem (and PS re: NextGEN, a good program, do NOT NOT NOT upgrade to NextGEN 2.04 if you are running iFeature Pro. They do not tell you, but the upgrade is incompatible. Stay with NextGEN 1.9.1!!!!!)

      Any thoughts would be appreciated.
