Onle want a few lines of a post on FRONT page

Hello. I did a quick search for this on the forums here to see if the question had already been asked and answered but I came up with nothing.

Anyway on my wordpress I have some very long posts. Is there a way to make it so that on the front page it will only show X number (probably 10-15) lines of each the post, instead of the entire post, and will have a “read more” button (or something to that effect) after those X number of lines if the reader wants to read more?
