    Hey,

I know I am pushing so hard to have support but I am continuously checking out the forum system and seeking for missing parts to improvise it!

My question: The forum counts the online users, but why guest users are not included in counts? Only registered and page viewing people are included in counts as I see.

Maybe we can find a way to count also everyone elses also bot visits; like SMF or BBpress.

    What do you think?
    Thanks.

The only way to include guests in the online-counter would be to save the IP adresses of your users into the database. I dont want to implement this by default because of some legal/law regulations in some countrys. For example site-owners are not allowed to log ip-information in germany without informing their users.

I added this to my todo-list:

Maybe I can find another way to implement this in a future release.

Logging as in the database or WP/Asgaros as PII, true, but the web server stores it! Convert the IP to a uuid and/or serialize, stored a client side cookie via javascript with a proper privacy policy page update, checking uri for forum slug and store hash/session id in your — then time it out—- but even doing so in any format ip’s are not reliable due to possibility of a shared wan ip on a network, proxy/firewall or public computers blocking/spoofing. No easy one for this.
