only 1 image per post showing up

Hi I have spent countless hours putting together sneak peeks for clients to view on my blog only to have all the work I did disapear after I hit preview, save draft or publish. The only thing that is left is one image containing the captions of all the other images. I try posting several times but the same thing happens. I have to post several times before it works. I thought it had something to do with wordpress hosting limits so I downloaded and stated a new blog and imported but am still having the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
