Only 4 CPTs show in admin menu

    I’m creating custom post types and everything was going smoothely until they stopped showing up in my admin menu.

    Is there some trick to getting more than 4 to show up?

    Are you doing anything with custom values for the menu position? It’s fairly easy to get things overlapping there and “overwriting” the positioning.

    I’ve just discovered that when the User Role Editor is activated it hides some of my menu items.

    That’d make sense too, especially if you’re setting a custom value for the capability type field. We don’t have 100% compatibility with fields for the capabilities field for post types, but I have an extension that I think should still work, but not super well tested, if you want UI for that part as well. It’s purposely not merged into the core plugin at this point.

    Let me know if you want to try that and/or would like other ideas on how to potentially set those capabilities fields without ditching CPTUI. We have utilities available.
