Only able to login using public IP

    Hi,

    I’m using your plugin on this website but the IP login only works if I am putting the public IP address. If it’s the ipv4 address it is not logging in. Can you please explain why this is happening and what is the solution?

    Hi,

    The auto login is expected to work with public IPv4 and IPv6 and proxy server IP.

    Do you want to use it with local ipv4 ? Can you share the IP which you want it to work with ?

    Hi,

    Thankyou for replying. When I try with any public IP that we get from our browser, it is working. But those IPs that we get from our system ipconfig it is not working.

    Please check if we can do anything. I want the system IPs to work.

    Yes.

    This is a local ip address of your pc. When you access a site this IP address is not used your public ip is used. Hence only public ips can be used for auto login.

    Yes, I understood.

    We are developing this for US client. Can you please tell me if 172.58.242.16 and 71.255.229.213 are public IPs or local?

    These are public ips and auto login should work with these ips.

    Hi,

    can you go to the WP admin panel and go to IP Based Login Settings page and check if the IP printed on the screen is the same as the IP you see when you visit this page ?

    If you are using Cloudflare or some other proxy you need to tweak the IP Detection method on the admin settings.
