    1. I am trying to upload 962 images to a specific gallery.
    2. I have the “Maximum Image Count” under miscellaneous set to 2000.
    3. I have other galleries with hundreds of other images in them.
    4. No matter how I upload the 962 images to this specific gallery, the gallery only shows/accepts 877 images. All the images are 4096×4096, and range from 89K to 3.5MB.
    5. No matter how I upload, if I use the folder option or the upload image option, in the end, the maximum count of images in this specific gallery is always 877 and never the correct upload of 962.

I don’t know what I am doing wrong here. Does the Maximum Image Count refer to the total number of images that can be uploaded to nextgen, total? Is there something else that could be going on here. Again, as I mention in #5, it doesn’t matter if I select and upload them by the 100s using the upload image option, or if I upload by the folder option, I can’t get nextgen to recognize/upload all the images, both ways it only shows the maximum image count in the gallery as 877 (that exact figure regardless of which option I use).

    Please, any advice?

    Hi,

NextGEN does not impose a limit of any kind in terms of how many images or galleries you can have.

I would check with your hosting company about the folder size limit or even your hosting plan storage limits, your allocated space might be full. Sometimes hosting companies use folder size limit as a method to avoid malware bloating servers at will with malicious or unwanted files.

    Please keep me posted

I don’t think that is the problem since I am currently developing the site on my own computer localhost using Local. Do you have any other suggestions? This is a strange issue.

At Imagely even for paid users we do not support local instances, only live sites because of this, sometimes a perfectly working site will break when put live or when cloned to local.

Still, you can check your site health info for max uploads limits.

You can also try checking the Local by Flywheel community forums or asking where if there is the option, to change the directory size.

In my case I can change the PHP config for my Local sites using this route:
    C:\Users\MyUser\Local Sites\SiteName\conf\php\php.ini.hbs

I hope this points you in the right direction.

Just to confirm, there is no max number of images per gallery?

    Hi @trvsgrant,

That’s correct. The only adjustable limit NextGen has for the amount of the images that it can display is “Maximum Image Count” under Miscellaneous but that one doesn’t anyhow affect the uploading limit so that’d be entirely up to the hosting.
