Only allow products in cart from either categories

  • Hello,

    I have a woocommerce setup with multiple categories with child categories, see my example below.

    Category 1
    – Child Category 1
    – Child Category 2

    Category 2
    – Child Category 1
    – Child Category 2

    I was wondering if anyone has made a function that can only allow products from either category 1 or category 2 in the cart at one time.

    So if somebody has a product that is listed in child category 1 in category 1 in their cart they cannot add any products to their cart within category 2 or its child categories. And of course vice versa.
