Only audio when playing video in chrome

    9 times out of 10 this is a codec problem with the particular video you’re using. Can you post a link to the video you’re having trouble with? You might also get some help from the first FAQ here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/video-embed-thumbnail-generator/faq/

    Acutally I tested the webm format in my chrome browser and it works fine, but the mp4 only plays audio, so actually chrome reads the mp4 file instead of the webm file – in the video source tag for mp4 I found the data-res attribute with “720p”, perhaps this should be “MP4”?

    So the problem is definitely with the codecs in your MP4 video. Please post a link to the video. The data-res attribute is used by the video-js resolution switcher plugin and doesn’t matter in this case.
