• I’m here to ask about a unique function —- Only Author Function (specific user reply filter), my blog subscribers very like to create long story(novel) in the forum under a topic, but they will split those stories into many chapters as update, for example, one of them post one chapter once a week, when he posted a chapter, there are many comments. I would like a function that can filter specific user reply under a topic, so reader can see the full story more clearly. Is there anywhere to add these this function to bbpress forum? Either Plugin or filter hook code or other codes, cherish your replies.

For additionally info, the button is under each topic reply, the button is the same position with the quote button, it is a button that under each reply of a topic. When toggle the button under the reply, the topic will only show all the replies for the specific user, no others’ replies.
    Sample Website:?https://mirror.chromaso.net/thread/1073743999
Above is the sample website with this function but the language is Chinese.
“引用” should be translated to quote and beside it the three dots pop-up “只看该作者” should be translated to only see the author.

@dasword – sounds like what you’re asking for is to multi-sort topic replies. First by the topic author regardless of date, then replies from everyone else according to date.

    Sound about right?

Another thought is to create “sticky replies” so a topic author can “stick” specific replies to always show at the beginning of a topic…. so weekly chapter updates can be displayed in order at the beginning of the topic, but still allowing the topic author to post comments/replies within the topic that follow standard reply sort order just like all other replies (not sticky).

Between the two, which one sounds closer to what you’re seeking?
