Only Domain Transfer from GoDaddy

  • I have already purchased a basic plan, and I’m already confused regarding WordPress.com and www.ads-software.com. I already have a site setup, Baerbookspress.com, which I thought was on www.ads-software.com.

    Anyways, I’m getting away from my main concern. I decided to transfer my domain name from GoDaddy to WordPress. I have already received an email from GoDaddy saying it’s canceled, and I made authordenisebaer.com my primary domain, but it keeps pointing to the old site. I’ve already created a new site on WordPress.

    I’ve read the documentation stating to go to Settings – General and change the URL there, but there isn’t a place for me to do it. I’m not clueless when it comes to technology, but any documentation and questions I’ve come across have not resolved this issue.

    Please help!

    I can see your site is now on WordPress.COM and it is loading perfectly. I’m not seeing any problem. ??

    I see both the domain and website for authordenisebaer.com are already at wordpress.com (Automattic Inc) , so i hope you don’t need that change I see the domain registrar as below which was updated today:

    Yes, you’re right it appearing, but it’s showing my old website. I only wanted to transfer the domain, not my entire website. I’ve already created a new website on my WordPress dashboard.

    In order to get the answer related to WordPress.COM, you have to post a question there, just like you did here, or need to search in there support section.

    You have mentioned two domain names.

    I can see authordenisebaer.com is on WordPress.COM.

    And, baerbookspress.com is on www.ads-software.com (Hosting Provider is GoDaddy).

    Animesh, I did post my issue on the Wordpres.com site.

    I mentioned my other site, but my issue is with launching authordenisebaer.com using my WordPress site, not GoDaddy.

    authordenisebaer.com is already on WordPress.COM, not on GoDaddy.

    And because now it is on WordPress.COM, you have to ask them for any issue related to your website which you have already done.

    So, wait for some time they will reply to you. ??
