    Hi

Sorry you are experiencing technical issues.

First I will say we develop and test on the latest version of WP ( 6.0.1 ) and we have not experienced issues such as you describe.

In the first instance, I would suggest methodically, on each settings page, pressing the [save] button.

If that fails to make anything better, then the next step would be to put your WP into debug mode and inspect the logs for any FATAL errors ( not Warnings or Notices as these are advisory but do not impact functionality )

Thank You Alan for the response.
I have enabled the debug mode. Lots of warnings, but no errors just warnings. You can check for yourselves.
I also went thru all the settings pages and pressed save.
    Currently using WP 6.01.
    Any other suggestions?

    Hmm very strange.

All the warning come from another plugin, as you can see so not relevant.

Have you tried an earlier version of the plugin?

You can get them from here scroll down to ‘previous versions’ – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/quick-event-manager/advanced/

I would try 9.3.8, see if it makes any difference

One suggestion – have you tried re-updating the Event itself – perhaps make a minor change – save and then undo and resave

Sadly downgrading the plugin gives exactly the same result.
How can i check if the plugin sees the other missing information?
Maybe its a database difference from upgrading.

Can you see the data in the Event editor (if you can then it is not a DB issue )

    (@helgerg)

Editing and saving didn’t help either. Event description is still missing.

Oh so we have tried the simple stuff, this looks like a complex issue, and right now have run out of ideas how to narrow this down.

What happens if you create a brand new event?

    (@helgerg)

I have made a new event with a description and sorry to say. Still the same.

It looks to me as if the new event worked?

No not really .. it is just a short description. Full description is missing and so is registration button.

    Plugin Author Alan Fuller

    (@alanfuller)

    Ah OK. I see.

This is really strange, you have re-saved settings, re-saved events and it doesn’t work. On other sites it does work in PHP 8.0 and WP 6.0.1 ( you can see that easily enough if you spin up a test site https://demo.tastewp.com/quick-event-manager , it used to work on WP 5.x? but upgrading from 5.x? to 6.0.1 it stops working for you on your site?

So that sort of indicates some sort of database issue – BUT the settings and events are visible from the admin tools – which indicates the DB is OK but the front end display is ‘tripping up’ on something unknown.

Debugging this is going to be hard.

I’ll have a look at the code in that section and see if there is something that can stop the long description / registration form showing.

I might have to create a custom debug plugin.

    (@helgerg)

The previous version of WP might have been even 4.7 or something. Its hard to check now until I make rollback. PHP in use is 7.3 right now cause 8 broke some plugins. I have to still find the culprit. But when i disabled all other plugins and used PHP 8 the results where identical.

    Thread Starter helgerg

    (@helgerg)

Disabled the problematic plugin and now running PHP 8.1.
But the problem still the same.

So this is what I’m after like on your test site:

But everything vanishes after the price on my end.
